PATIENT NAVIGATION & ACCESS TO TREATMENT

Recognizing that it is not enough to tell a woman that she has cancer, we innovated a robust patient navigation model that is championed by cancer survivors who voluntarily give back to the community by offering their time to walk newly diagnosed patients through their treatment journey.


Achievements so far:

  1. Successfully navigated 25 women to access cervical cancer treatment at the National Referral Hospital and other hospitals within Nairobi

  2. Through our Post Treatment Economic Model pilot, seven of our survivors have been re-integrated into the community as valuable contributors to the economy through provision of seed capital to start and run income generating activities
