The Women4Cancer Ambassadors Program (W4CAP) is a cervical cancer advocacy training and education program designed to engage leaders from diverse communities to help eliminate cervical cancer in Kenya. The focus is on improving awareness and prevention through early detection and HPV vaccination. W4CAP involves multiple counties, local community and healthcare professional partnerships, the community, and faith-based organizations. The components include recruitment, training (online or physical classroom and interactive instruction, monitoring/evaluation, and support/education. This will provide and reinforce accurate information about HPV Vaccine as cervical prevention for targeted populations and increase knowledge about HPV Vaccine among parents for 10-year-old girls by 2022.
Objectives:
- Becoming a trusted source of science-based HPV vaccination and cervical cancer information and expertise through training on HPV Vaccination.
- To create a diverse community of champions and other stakeholders who have the desire and training to participate in cervical prevention and control.
